Beginner Meditation/Breathing Course

Our Beginner Meditation/Breathing course allows students the opportunity to experience the synergistic effects of a quality breathing practice combined with a quality meditation practice. The breathing program will identify and remedy any aberrant breathing patterns you have developed (90% of the population has breathed in an aberrant way since they were 5 years old), increase the flexibility of the rib cage (allowing one to take a proper breath with the diaphragm), strengthen the breathing muscles, and teach you how to use breathing techniques to increase, decrease, or harmonize the nervous system.

The program will teach the fundamental mindfulness practices associated with the body, breath, emotions, thoughts, and Metta.

The goals of meditation are:

1) To know oneself at the deepest level

2) To decrease suffering

3) To increase fulfillment

4) To support positive behavior change

5) To foster a spirit of love and service to others
